About Me
As a young boy I spent a lot of time with my uncle who was an avid rockhound. I would spend hours playing in his rock shop and go out into the plains of Wyoming in search of arrow heads and agates which he would then turn into fantastic pieces of jewelry. As a geologist, my life is not that different. My uncle inspired me to be on a perpetual treasure hunt and find geologically based value. Over the last 35 years I have worked for various mining and exploration companies, and my primary goals have always been the same: build geologic assets through best practices and develop geologic talent to maximize value for the company and its shareholders.
I view the intimate connectivity between geologic understanding, resource development, potential reserve conversion, and reconciliation as paramount to delivering that value, however the string that ties it all together is the ability to run an open and transparent process using the collective wisdom and input from all the stakeholders along the way. Applying my years of experience as a geologist in various roles, along with my capabilities in resource modeling and my focus on building cross-functional collaborative teams, produces confident results.
Geologic characterization and delineation of a potential mineral resource or reserve is a key focus for me. Companies large and small are realizing that staffing and mentoring of its technical teams are a large part of this process. I believe that the quality of the geologic analysis, its implementation, and the technical staff teamwork can many times make or break a company’s assets.
